Key responsibilities for the role :
1.Translation: To translate written or spoken content accurately and fluently from Chinese to another language or vice versa.
2.Interpretation: Provide interpretation services, which involve facilitating oral communication between parties who speak different languages.
3.Language Proficiency: Should have exceptional proficiency in both Chinese and the target language(s) they work with.
4.Cultural Competence: Should have a deep understanding of the cultural context associated with both the source and target languages.
5.Research and Terminology Management: Often need to conduct research to ensure accurate translations of specialized terminology or industry-specific jargon.
6.Proofreading and Editing: Responsible for reviewing and proofreading their own translations or those of others to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to client or industry-specific guidelines.
7.Confidentiality and Professionalism: Often handle sensitive and confidential information.
8.Collaboration and Communication: work as part of a team, collaborating with other translators, editors, project managers, or clients.
